WHAT WE DO

 

KC Pinnacle Projects and RSS Fibre offers a full turnkey project management solution for the fibre network and security industry from development to implementation. Furthermore, the organisation manages and maintains the network once installed.

 

Our internal planning teams designs and plans our fibre networks. Experienced project managers are assigned to all. Using the latest technology and applications, the team communicates and updates on all projects during the course of the day, ensuring that everyone involved in the project is informed and familiar with the work in progress.

 

Partnering with local Small to Medium Enterprises in rural areas we average 2000 FTTH home passes monthly as a full Turnkey company.

Our FTTB capability far succeeds that of any other company as our teams average 20 to 30 FTTB builds monthly and 5 to 10 Mall Fibre Reticulation builds monthly. Once the network is installed, the networks can then be maintained by KC Pinnacle Projects and RSS with a complete set of operation, administration and maintenance tools geared especially for each network to offer the best solution for any issues reported.

 

Last mile installations and connections are done by the KC Pinnacle teams in all areas we build. We average between 800 – 1000 installations per month working hand in hand with our client and their representatives.

OUR REACH 

 

KC Pinnacle Projects has a long-standing relationship with Evotel/Net99 and Vumatel, the leading fibre-to-the-home network providers in South Africa. Currently we are rolling out full turn key projects, home installations and maintenance as a primary contractor for Evotel (Pty) Ltd throughout South Africa. We deployed last mile fibre as well as Full Turn Key fibre roll outs for SADV (South Africa Digital Villages) in the past. KC Pinnacle Projects also provides Vumacam with Full Turn Key solutions working together with public associations to assist in making Johannesburg a safer place with the rapid connectivity of Vumacam's infrastructure. We are a preferred supplier to these organizations due to our professional approach to each project and high-quality service delivery.

 

We have overseen and managed the deployment of aerial and trenched fibre networks throughout South Africa. Our knowledge base includes a wealth of highly skilled employees and contractors whose work ethos is of the highest standard.

In 2023 KC Pinnacle USA LLC was established in Texas, USA. KC Pinnacle will be offering full turn key services to the fast-growing fibre industry in the USA.

 

 

BACKGROUND

 

The Founder and Owner, Kevin Calitz, has over 16 years’ experience in the Telecommunications industry with designing and developing of high-performance networks. Kevin started his career in Telecommunication back in 2009 and later joining the Fibrehoods team in 2015 where he managed the build and transfer of fibre infrastructure for over 150 000 homes. Kevin’s drive to deliver quality projects on time, led to the establishment of KC Pinnacle Projects in September 2017 and in that short time, the company has grown into an organisation that now employs more than 60 employees.

 Kevin does not just oversee the projects but is on the ground with his team every day to ensure that the project is running according to the proposal and to assist with any challenges that may arise. This hands-on approach has meant that the team works cohesively in the best interest of the project with minimal disruption to the end-users.

 

Louise Calitz, was former Accounts Manager at Cell C for 13 years running the MTN and Vodacom account. Louise manages the accounts and HR departments of KC Pinnacle Projects and all the sister companies.

 

Brian Wood, CTO has over 27 years’ experience in Telecommunications dating back to 1993 at Dimension Data. He has built and transferred 400 000 starting from 2009 to present for Dimension Data, Telkom, SADV, MTN, Fibrehoods, Vumatel, Evotel, Net 99 and Fibrestream. All our networks are personally designed and spec’d by Brian and is then given to our planning department.

 

André (Blikkies) Blignaut, COO at KC Pinnacle Projects has successfully overseen and managed 150 000+ FTTH Home Passes for Fibrehoods, Vumatel and 50+ FTTB access builds and mall reticulations for Dimension Data. He was formerly the head of implementations at Vumacam and oversaw all camera projects.

 

Kelsey Gray our head planner has 6+ years’ experience in FTTH planning and reviewing over 300 000 homes (as builds, splicing diagrams, spec docs, BOM’s).

 

Anton Van Der Bank, Operations Manager formerly built and managed networks for Vumatel, Fibrehoods, SADV and has qualified FOA in New Zeeland where he worked for Chorus NZ. He has excessive knowledge in all civil and fibre work within any fibre network.

 

Freddie Lepine-Williams, Operations Manager formerly built and managed networks for Vumatel, Fibrehoods, SADV with 8 years field experience. Freddie manages and oversees all project deliverables including CAC, FAC and HOC processes, he also ensures all Health and Safety regulations are followed on our sites.

 

Jean-Piere Van Heerden, Technical Manager at KC Pinnacle has 12 years fibre splicing, testing and fault-finding experience and manages all your maintenance teams and technicians.

 

 KC Pinnacle Projects is looking into expanding nationally and providing a much-needed fibre-to-the-home network for the residents – delivered on time and to the highest standards.
